Entry requirements

Make sure that you meet the academic and English language entry requirements for your course.

There are additional entry requirements for most Degrees and some Design, Digital Media, Fashion Technology & Theatre Costume, Fine Arts, Music, Photoimaging and Theatre courses. For these courses you are required to submit a portfolio, design or written task along with your application.

Please note:

If you do not meet the English competency requirements, you can choose to study intensive English at a TAFE NSW English Language Centre before you start your course.

TAFE NSW only accepts academic version of IELTS test scores

Depending on your nationality, the Australian Department of Immigration and Border Protection might accept only an IELTS result as proof of English competency for student visa purposes.

If you choose to use another agent who is not published on this list, then TAFE NSW International is not responsible for the accuracy of the advice provided to you.

TAFE NSW English Language Centre agents

TAFE NSW English Language Centres also engage agent representatives and details of these agents can be found on the English Language pages for each of the listed Institutes. These agents may recruit students for intensive English language courses but not for any other courses at TAFE NSW.
